Hello everyone, Hope that the year has brought much success and happiness to all. For those continuing to struggle with adversity and challenging situations, keep on keeping on. Giving up is not an option. Fear surfaces when we have the wrong response to disappointments and trials. Do not let fear take root in your life. Remain a prisoner of hope. Be careful not to be tempted to be negative, fault finding complaining and hopeless. Keep being persistent, diligent and consistent in your efforts. God will never leave you or forsake you. Renew and rejuvenate your attitude every day. One day at a time.
"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the
vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior" (Habakkuk 3:17-18, NIV)
Some of you may say "but Dr. Susan you don't understand MY pain, struggle, addiction, loss, etc." I do understand people and I do understand painful emotions and I do know what we are capable of. We have all experienced loss, regrets, disappointments and trials. What separates some is the ability to cope and overcome and perservere despite your circumstances and situations. What also seperates is the willingness to forgive, forget, let go and move forward. Process, work through and let go once and for all. It is not what you are capable of, it is what you are willing to do.
Allow the joy of the Lord to be your strength. When we lose our joy, we cannot perform to our best ability. Despite loss and adversity and struggles, I encourage to find your joy every day. If you struggle spiritually, I challenge you to take the time to connect or reconnect with God to find your purpose and direction. He is the source of love, peace, wisdom, knowledge, patience, kindness, self control, self discipline and much more. Align your thoughts to think on what is pure, what is honest, what is lovely in your life. Learn to be content and enjoy the journey despite your situation, circumstance or people around you.
I know that many people are experiencing fears, doubts and insecurities that cause symptoms of anxiety and worry that can be tormenting and debilitating. Take the time to challenge those fears that are irrational and unreasonable and choose a path of faith. With faith, you will have no fear. "God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, and love and discipline" (sound mind). 2 Timothy 1:7. So if your heart is troubled or hardened and your spirit is unsettled, read, study, pray, seek the knowledge needed to quiet your mind in order to be the best that you can be. Take the time to invest in you. You will get a huge ROI (return on your investment) with just the smallest of efforts, you will see results and you are worth it!
Forgive yourself and others. It is time to let go of the past and close the portal to past hurts, disappointments, trials and regrets. The past is the past for a reason, that is why the rear view mirror is so small and the front windshield is big. Keep pressing forward with hope and excitement! Be free once and for all to move forward living truly one day at a time. Love yourself and one another and treat all with kindness, gentleness, respect and love. If you do this I guarantee that you will experience a more fulfilling and satisfying life. We were not made to live in strife, discord, discontent, criticism and fault finding. If you find yourself doing this to yourself or others, today is the day to make changes. Change your mood, change your attitude and choose to live life differently beginning today. Do yourself a favor and forgive!
If I can help, call or e-mail, lets talk. Thanks to everyone for the kind words and positive feedback. Stay focused and your time will come when your dreams and goals will come to pass. Challenge any negative, self defeating thoughts. Keep a gratitude list and meditate on it morning, noon and night. Remember be grateful for what you have and you will be blessed with more. If you can believe, you can achieve! Decide, commit and succeed and never, ever give up!
"The vision is for an appointed time. Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, for it will surely come" Habakkuk 2:3.
Wishing you all of God's best...
Many blessings and much love,
Dr. Susan
